Putting it away for the winter

Stuff bronze wool in the exhaust so the critters won't crawl up there! Steel wool will rust. I also like to run some 2 stroke oil gas thru the system to lube up the intake and fuel injectors. Harder to do on a motorcycle but a tried and true tradition on outboard marine motors.
 
A good roadworthy MC trailer can extend the summer up here in WA.
 
I'd coat the bike with AFC 50(not the brakes) to protect it from the elements if you're leavin it outside.It's good stuff.
 

Pretty much the same for the entire southwest; compatriot. I personally FULLY empathize except for the "rain" part.
 
I'm in Toronto and unless you are parking in a garage take the time (5 Minutes) to pull the battery and keep it indoors. -10C (14f)or -20C(-4f) your battery wont like it- Just a suggestion.
God I sometimes wish I went to Australia when I left South Africa!!
 

You'd like Virginia pretty well....we get all four seasons, and they usually don't overstay their welcomes!
 
Lift the bike off the floor/ground to avoid flat spots in the tires.
