Possible clutch slip: NEED HELP please

Looks to be a good time to replace radiator hoses. Name of those fancy hoses? Might go with the Barnett clutch pads and all. Lifter piece and needle bearing plus thrust washer sounds like a good idea. #ell while am at it might as well get those progressive springs installed in the forks. Ordered the oil and cleaner for the Ramair this morning prior to attempting going to work. Just going to look at all this as getting ready for the East Coast R.A.A. Basically it should be fun. Love learning and wrenching.

Samco hoses will keep you on the road when others will fail

A small and rather inexpensive upgrade to prevent further clutch issues:

Use upgraded clutch springs from carpenter, since you’re in it anyways might as well prevent future slip. The lever pull is not significantly changed, but they hold 180+ lbft without issue when installed in a stock clutch.

MTC fibers are a significant upgrade if your looking for a more durable clutch.

I've got the MTC Fibres along with their springs, tho' they are probably Hyabusa springs, how would these compare to Bob Carpenter supplied ones ?

Already got the hoses. (Samco) Don't give a rats #ss about lever pull just what something that will hold up. MTC fibers going to check into that. Thanks. Your a smart cookie and will check into your advice. Need something better than stock. It is one thing to ride a wheelie it is another to hit the gas do a straight line and burn the back tire good clutch required.

Might be the same thing, not positive. I do know bobs a bit of a busa expert, predating the rocket development work, and there are other busa parts in his rocket package so...relatively good chance they’re busa springs of some sort.

Question of the day. When replacing friction plates,steel plates and springs is it necessary to replace the Lifter piece,needle bearing and thrust washer?

I put a Barnett set in one of my 05's along with the Barnett springs. You can tell a difference in the lever pull, and so far, NO slipping. I left out the judder spring and it's washer. Had a bit of "juddering" but it settled down after a few miles. If I had to do it again, I'd either use the judder spring, or use one of the original friction discs, to replace the one with the larger center opening, made for the judder spring. But, as has been said, Warp is the expert, and has much experience.

MTC fibers, and Carpenter springs FTW
(stock steels and everything else, remove the anti-judder spring & washer)

Check lifter arm and piece for wear when in there, and the outer drum back plate for springs wear too if you're thorough

It could be a number of things - did it happen suddenly or over time?

MTC 110 lbs/inch
Triumph 120 lbs/inch **stock springs T1171201**
Barnett 170 lbs/inch (not measured - derived from the compressed value below)
Carpenter 200 lbs/inch
