Popping at Fuel injector Carb Thingy

The LonElec cable has a chip in it that is required for the communication between your computer (note the Android version of TuneECU does NOT/NOT support ECU mapping).

The cable connects between your computer (obviously, a tablet or laptop or notebook is best for this) and the OBD II connector normally behind the left side cover on the bike.

If you don't have THAT LonElec cable, the odds are low that you have any communication with the ECU.

Yep... need to start with a good base tune using TuneECU. You can find the tune list on TuneECU website. Save the current tune before uploading the a new tune.

Great video to learn about TuneECU:

If you are accessing this site, downloading TuneECU should be just as straightforward. Click on this link: Windows Free Version of TuneECU

You must have a computer or laptop or notebook running Windows -- the Android version will not work on the Rocket, and there is no option for MAC or iOS devices.

Some of our captains (including this one) keep an old laptop around just for this purpose.

If this doesn't work for you, you need to find a friend or other help with a computer. Otherwise, if you ride your bike to northern Virginia, you could stop by my place and we could check it out.

OK so i finally got time to pull off bearclaw and K and N filters all butterflies operated smoothly but a little fire happens once in a while in first carb thingy by the way what is it called Oh I am not computer tech savvy for the tune loading

They are called throttle bodies. There are three of them.... one for each cylinder. You have to download the tune off the website then put the tune in the TuneECU folder.

Boy I'm really smart today Throttle Bodies duh

I know using TuneECU can be a struggle. Everyone seems to have different types of problems. Using the software, downloads, or getting TuneECU to communicate with the ECU.
For me it seems to be problem with communication. Even with the correct lonetec cable I still have communication problems at times.

Watch the video I posted over and over...... it really helped me get the ball rolling with TuneECU.

Just curious but did you verifu thst the throttle bodies are seated properly in the rubber intake manifolds leading to the head ports? Easy check no computer needed. Maybe number one is not completely in or the area arond the ban clamp is damaged. And while you checking the vac line 4 of the check the rubber plug caps for dry rot especially on cylinder number one. If it was my bike knowing it was a 05 I would change all the vacuum lines and plug caps 4 of the each, so I would not have to worry about them. And check clean and recrimp the low tension leads on the coils while your under the tank. A little preemptive maintenance to keep another problem from rearing its head while your working on her.

I had a problem connecting as well. I closed the program, and reopened the program with the bike connected worked fine then. Hanso is the man for anything tune ecu related. He was awesome with the program and tech support!!!
