Just come back from seeing the mock up headers on the bike and while impressed at them there is a major problem they will not be any good unless you are running a set of Roadster foot pegs on a Std the middle pipe sticks out to far in fact it sticks out 40mm further than Pred stlye Headers that Mitch and I run and that was with out a heat shield, this does not cause a problem on a roadster but a STD or a Classic could result in some nasty burns or a very bandy leged riding style.
At the site of the bike with the mock up on I spied a secret project and snuck a picture while he wasn't looking, mmm said something about three Briggs and Stratton engines not fitting so he was thinking of looking for a stray rocket engine after complaining that it was slow job mowing 5 acres and three cylinders might just make the ol mower a bit faster this is the same guy that has just upped his compression added cams and thats on top of having a super charger and he's 73 years young....:eek: and rides like cut cat

gday hanso, just got an email from the fella who tried fitting the pipes to his standard.

i am extremely confident that the boys will rework it and get it to work. the bloke making them really does sound very talented and with our mate doing the engine work for me keeping an eye on things for me it will come up the ducks nuts! give them time and they'll make the best possible mods even better.
 
oh did i mention, that the previously discussed figures are yet to be confirmed by ' the rocket god' ok ok, i just named him that but if you disagree, get ****ed! lol, seriously though, i have 110% confidence in Lushie and once he sees pipes on, which if i wasn't so slack, id know when thats is gonna be, he'll know if it is fine or not for the roadster.

i kinda don't mind what the pipes look like too much as i just want nev to have the kinda flow and quality pipes to match or at least contribute to his masterful work. anyhow, i think i will have her back in the next week or 2 and will tell you what i reckon.

i gotta say, if you want to spend 1-2 grand on improving your bike, rather than just bolting pipes on, speak to lushie. he'll be honest and tell you your best options and if you don't believe him, think about your beliefs first. the bloke is the most genuine bloke around and knows more about this **** than most don't even know they don't know.
 
Lushie has been part of my long term plan from the start after I first heard about him, even before I got my headers on, it has always been my plan to extract as much relieable HP from "The Mistress" aiming for between 200 and 250 HP it all just a matter of raising the funds:rolleyes:

'the mistress' that's hilarious, in private 'my little girl' is actually 'the slut' ... same thing really. lol.

i only bought a rocket because i knew i could send it to lush. took me time but he helped me with different stages and options and took the slowly slowly catch the monkey approach.

howdy mate, yeah have been busy trying to get a number of matters finalised as only have four weeks left to end of the year (financial year) and haven't spoken to the lads in SA.

Will do over next day or two and let you know.
