Pic of Triple K&N's Under Bearclaw

Personally Ishmael, I wouldn't have the edging but you could easily try it to see if you like it. It gives it a different look and could look pretty good with your cut on a black bike.

I agree

Attempting to make a template might not be easy and for someone to use the template might not be easy job as well.

I cut mine from the front side but double coated the entire front side of the claw with 2" (blue) masking tape just in case of a slip of the Dremel tool. Marked where I wanted to cut with a black Sharpie , cut, then removed the tape once I was done.

I put a bead of silicone in my trim keeps all moisture out . To copy my shape all you need do is trace the bottom edge of the middle bubble onto cardboard cut it out and use it to trace an outline on all three exactly 6.5 cm up from the bottom of each and just join them up freehand . I think the trim is a good idea because even the best cuts have minor imperfections I haven't seen one yet that you can't tell it was cut by hand . Just my opinion ofcourse

When I saw the one on fleabay I looked into seeing what a new one would cost and it was $125 US. Hope the link works:

I think Hanso found one for about $90 from NCY.
Yup actually $92 (+ postage couldn't tell how much there were a few other things in parcel) after us exchange conversion, Call Jason in Spares tell him" Hans from Oz(just kiddin) sent ya" he'll look after ya, he is a good bloke, I have spent about 3 grand there but it would have cost me 3 times as much from Aussie dealers

Just wanted to through in my take on the filters. I also removed the secondaries when i did this mod.
Where did you get that coolant overflow bottle, and what part no for the cables to connect to it?? Any chance anyone has pics of a set-up like this showing how it is installed/routed?

Does anybody think I should put a bead around this cut like Mitch's ?
I would doesnt matter how neat the cut is you can still see that they are done by hand without the trim . havent seen one yet that u cant . the trim finishes it off nice
