So out cruising around today and long story short, some dude on a 600 super sport was riding like an asshat around me.

Line up at a light next to him that we all caught red, and proceeded to launch the rocket harder than I ever have before :p 3500 RPM clutch slip quickly out and let her rip. Data log was turned on luckily :) This is going up a hill. Ticked off a 3.2 0-60, and 8 second 0-100 mph, that with significant wheel spin through first gear, and btw the Avon makes helacious squealing noises (ME880 was slient) when shes being tortured. 600 SS dude was not even remotely close, but I did hear him trying while going through 1st gear.

So there is my first 600SS kill from a dig, FINALLY lol.

That got me thinking, so I was going up a hill, and obviously I fubared the launch a touch, data log shows 1.5 seconds worth of wheel spinning... what company of cars does 3.2 and 8 seconds put you in?

About perspective... to me, I desperately want more and can't wait for my Carpenter head to get put on. I am genuinely curious at what point it'll feel "fast enough"

I don't launch mine to often but the other day during a ride I hung way back and did a 3500 launch and nailed everything. Gut wrenching takeoff no wheel spin and picked the front tire off until I had to shift. That was awesome.

What speed did you grab second gear?

I'm not honestly sure about the speed. Getting my legs up to the shifter before I was bouncing off through rev limiter was kind of my priority. Didn't hit 2nd until about 6keeping though.

Well, I don't drag race every day too, but I had a similar event going on last week.

In my case it was an old GSX1100R, with it's rider seemingly in an altered state of mind. I saw him in the mirror coming from behind - on his back wheel. He raced by like a fury, and probably thought that he really shocked a poor cruiser guy. I gave it full throttle and caught up within seconds.
At the next red light, our drag race marked the utter devastation of a legendary ****** rocket. The R3R completely outclassed it. I let off somewhere in 3rd, far ahead of him. And I have to admit, it feels great!

But a bigger challenge is waiting, soon. My uncle in Germany has a tuned Ducati 1198S - a very fast beauty - and he does have a lot of track experience. It seems we have slightly different opinions about who would be in front at the traffic lights... seems I have to go to Germany soon :whitstling: ... Actually I'll be content if I can best him in first gear, I don't think it will work until 100mph. In case I lose 0-60, I will go for Australian cams...:sneaky:

Heh, heh, heh! Fun isn't it. I destroyed a ZX11 a few weeks ago.

Last week I had a coworker try to roll on in a Lexus from a rolling 60mph, down shift to 3rd twist the wrist and when I hit 5th gear and looked back his headligbts were disappearing and I was rolling up on 130mph.

I had some kid roll up on me with a turbo focus. We dueled from 30 to 70 with me pulling away easily. I had to turn off at the next light but he yelled at me that he had a triumph 955 and the R3 was his next bike.
