I lost one zx14 in the past and won't mind have another in the future, I considered it an option at one time, probably zx14 then goldwing then the rocket. I love my rocket, may still get an zx14 to add to the stable again later on
Nope, neither, everything goes to the repair shop. I'm usually about evenly divided between shaft and chain bikes, and the big miles are invariably on the shaft bikes, so chain and sprocket changes aren't very frequent. Actually I have to get the Blackbird done as soon as I get back down to Florida
I needed two bikes to satisfy most of my motorcycle desires, which is why I also have a 2014 ZX14R for when I want to go fast and enjoy the mountain highways and canyons in my area at a sportier pace.
I'm considering the new Suzuki gsx s1000gt, looks like a lot of bike for the price, and not so heavy. Chain driven, but that's a fairly minor quibble. I was looking at the Yamaha 9GT also, even lighter, still packs 120 hp, and a triple to boot.
Just thought Tripps since you don't mind chain, look at the Versys LT 1000. All good for me except chain. Even excellent Passenger comfort, much tech stuff.
