One week away from being an R3 owner

Snuff, Marbles Falls, the Hub, the weekend of september 8, see you there!!!

I really appreciate the invite, but I've got to travel in the opposite direction (Houston) that weekend.

When will the next one probably be?

congratulations on the new ride from Irvine Kentucky. always remember this site the members elevators go up but a lot of them the doors do not open

Got it today. Beautiful.

Going to do an early morning breakfast ride tomorrow before church. With the Texas heat like it is right now, it's pretty brutal riding after noon.

Well, I took the wee beastie out for a breakfast ride this morning. The more time I spent on it, the more I became comfortable with the throttle and handling characteristics (compared to my FZ1 with which I'm pretty darn familiar).

The power is there (in gobs) when you want it, but it's quite managable and comes on smoothly. Of course it's more work through the curves than what I'm used to, but it carves well for such a large machine.

I did have a near-death experience this morning on the Rocket. I posted separately about it here--

Hey Judge, glad to see your on the bike and riding. We need to hook up and compare notes. I have the Tuneboy key to your bike so diagnosing problems will be no problem. We can check to make sure your throttle bodies are in sync and if you get TORs or after market pipes we can put a tune in it also. I don't remember but does it have the triple K&Ns on it or the factory intake? It doesn't cost alot to get alot more power. Good luck.

Thanks very much.

If I don't get to see you on one of the TWT East TX ride & eat trips, I'd be happy to make a run over to Longview sometime when it gets a bit cooler.

BTW- my neighbor Mickey (who has a couple bikes in the garage himself) couldn't believe that my Rocket is 7 years old and has over 30K miles on it.
