One week away from being an R3 owner

I came off a Yamaha FZ1 to a 2012 Roadster. You will surprised at how well the rocket will handle the curves. I considered keeping my fz1 for the same reason but in the end sold it to make the purchase happens sooner. Glad I did and 1000 miles later the smile is still on my face every time I twist the throttle.

Loved the fz1 but it's "only" a 1,000cc... such a small bike - HAHA

I was just out on the FZ1 this morning for an early (7am) breakfast ride before it got too darn hot. Almost zero traffic and 80 degrees makes early Sunday morning a perfect time to ride during the unbearable part of the Texas summer, especially if you're an ATGATT rider like I am.

That FZ (with an R6 shock upgrade) sure will put a smile on your face going through the curves and coming out of them. I'm not sure that I'll be able to part with that bike even with the R3 in the garage. We'll see. I've got a few friends who would really like for it to be theirs.

Welcome to the club, I've only had my R3R for about 3 weeks now, but still a smile on my face and always look forward to riding it.

Welcome Judge.
You take that Rocket through the twisties a few times,
and you'll forget the yamahonda, suzuasawki,
or whatever the inferrion bike is.
Welcome from oklahoma.

Just so you promise I won't have to ride from Hwy. 7 to Mt. Judea on 123.

A few years back I ran those really tight switchbacks coming down that mountainside on a heavily-loaded FJR. The rest of that road is fun, but I'm not sure that I'd ever want to run an R3 down through that one part.

I cant make that promise. I'm not the road captain on this event. :D

Switchbacks are fun. When its over your voice is either really high or very, very low.
