That got me to thinking about my R3 history
2003 put deposit down
2004 took delivery
2005 first to fit Bonnie tail light
2006 3 piston gold leaf paint job, 6 pot brakes, Jardines/unifilters 150hp
2007 6 pipe exhaust
2008 Carbon fibre wheels, engine mods, first over 200hp
2009 8" BST front wheel wide front end, twin V-rod headlights, more mods 220hp
2010 2" crash bars/chin spoiler, Supercharger with other mods, first @ 350hp
2011 New crank, Arrow rods
2012 more mods lots more power
2013,4,5 nothing much as Bonnie has replaced R3 in my affections
Done a lot to the Bonnie over these 3 years one off frame, custom job, much lighter, double hp.
At 63 still riding & loving it.

So Les, how is the latest project coming @Trirocket3 :D

I've been here since 08, but I'm not old.........still riding "Blackie" among others, wait, I am retired, da*n maybe I am old!

well there a few of us that are RETIRED and old unfortunately, time waits for no one been on this forum for nearly 6 years and still enjoying it and as a side note your BLACKIE to me is still the epitome of perfect modified R3

Hmmm thanks I think:Do_O:D it has been a pleasure being a member of both sites hopefully I have helped a few out as I have been helped out.

Well put Dave. Although I don't visit as often as years past, I sill show up occasionally just to keep a pulse on whats happening in the Rocket 3 world. Through the years a number of interesting characters have come and gone, chicken farmers, inventors, wrench spinners, world wide real estate investors, and even a couple of cops. There have been occasional disagreements but overall the atmosphere here has always been friendly and welcoming regardless of your background. I still have the Fat Bottom Girl, bought new in 2005 and probably always will. Just something about a Rocket, I believe you guys know what I mean..........

I bought an 06 classic in 2009 with 2300 miles ....not on here as often as I use to be, but still riding her! :)

I'm a NEW TIMER only had the bike 10months and just love it. My Rocket and the R3Owners site just goes hand in hand in my book. I look forward to becoming an OLD TIMER one day. Thanks to everyone- it's you guys that make this site so good.
