Oil in "Plenum Cover" near intakes

Good morning,
This too happened to me I found this oil at my 600mi service, I inspected the air filter and found about two tablespoons of oil in the bottom of the plenum.
The dealer had over filled the oil, I’m thinking by not knowing how to check it correctly, by at least 16oz.
I’m at 5500mi now. my R3 doesn’t use any oil
I getting ready to perform my next oil change I will inspect this plenum at that time.
.
Sounds like it's normal then. I think I was most alarmed when I didn't realize where the crankcase breather tube was located. Now it all makes sense. Thanks

Or it looks like a spring clip to hold the #11 hose to the nipple off the big piece of assembly #9.

Iwould say you hit the nail on the head when you said pcv valve what we need is ro identifie #12

I think its normal.
When i installed the DNA air filter, i noticed a small amount of oil residue in the plenum cover...put my finger in it and tasted it..yep, oil!...wiped it out and didn;t worry any further as assumed it had come from the breather too...it appeared to be clean oil.
My previous 2020 GT used maybe 400ml over 11000 kms...dont think it is now so just everything bedding in maybe.

Here's where that crankcase breather hose terminates (center of photo). Sorry, for the crappy image quality.

It's a clear somewhat soft "bulb" My guess is that it's designed to back flow to the plenum if or when it becomes full. The bracket with two holes to the left is where you can install an optional power outlet. If you shine a light in that area you'll see the bulb and can reach a finger in back there to feel that it's closed off.

Is it like a clear mini "catch can"? Maybe Euro5 stuff to save the environment an all. We still pour thousands of gallons of heavy crude oil on sand to make road dirt to blacktop the roads. I always get a laugh out of recycling oil centers. Bring it to us and we'll pour it on the ground for you.
