2005 R3 with 25K miles. The off idle throttle response of my bike changes once the bike warms up. When cold it is crisp and sharp. When warm it is not. More like a slight stumble or like it has "loaded up". Bike seems fine other than that. Fan comes on when you would expect so temp sensor seems OK. I will say it seems to drop into the final programmed idle setting way faster than any fuel injected bike I have owned. In seconds it goes from high idle to final setting.

I replaced the plugs yesterday with DPR7EA-9 from the "stock" DPR8EA-9 and no improvement. The old plugs looked very good. A scan with TuneECU shows nothing obvious other than throttle body readings indicate 10-20 high on "bottom" display. Tune is "20050DynoFinalMap_TOR_CatBypass_Decel". Idle was increased to minimize stalling when coming to stop.

Not sure what to look at next.

I did it a while ago when I loaded the tune you recommended. I can do it again.
NO I would check for vacuum leaks first and make sure your low tension leads on the coils are tight then I would look and see if the TPS is a New one or Old one Most likely it will need to be changed is my guess. there a rheostat and they do wear in spots which gives the ecu false signals yours sounds like it might be a problem. Also clean and lubricate the Stepper motor (get under the rubber boot) and all the springs in between the throttle bodies this can be done with a can of WD40 and the straw that come with it.

I will look into it tomorrow. When I did the plugs I removed two of the ignition coils. I did not disconnect the hidden one in front. Getting under the tank is a pain since the clamps for the clock and fuel gauge are corroded. I know at some point one is going to crack. At that point I'm going to be forced to remove them since replacement clamps are unavailable. It's odd that the problem only occurs when the engine is hot. I guess the rheostats could have heat issues.
