Did I not say the West Coast was the most heavenly mixture of sweepers and curves, I would have say possibly nowhere in Aus do get such a diverse mix of roads and that road leads up out of Queenstown has breathtaking views!
Hope you guys are going to have time to do the East coast as well there is a little bike museum in Bicheno and between Bicheno and St Hellen's there is a side road up to St Mary's along which is Elephant pass (a good day trip if you are base in one of the fore mentioned towns) where there is a Pancake restaurant to die for and the road is twisty heaven as well the sweepers are more open which will entice you to go harder but watch out for fine gravel on some corners and some tighten up quickly.
you guys are now experiencing why I go back to Tassie every couple of years....... Have fun and stay safe

Mate!!! we Aussie follow all sorts of sport no matter how bizarre!!!!
Hockey actually has a reasonable following and Ice hockey is played in most of our states major cities

Some shots from yesterday. Pulled up at this place (Cluny's Farm Cafe) not far out of Hobart and were greeted outside by a young lady inviting us to bring our helmets in and she'd clean our visors. Got directions and the Milkshake was pretty good too. We're finding not only riding nirvana but the friendliest place you could imagine.

The people at the shop where TC got his cable fixed were the same. We got there just on closing and they made up a new cable while we waited. Just long enough to pull everything down ready to refit the new one and happy for us to do the work out front.

Well I'll be... Sure enough, I zoomed in and could see the Triumph logo. I didn't know they used the winged wheel. I'm gonna have to try and find one of those, it would be pretty unique around these parts.

What a fantastic trip, looks like the weather is being good also.
I have driven the route you have done a couple of times before I got back into motorcycling but can still remember telling Helen these roads would be great on a bike !!!
If you get a chance to stop at Perth... yes there is one in Tassie they have paver stones all along the main street with the names, ages and what the crime was for alot of convicts....... pretty sad reading for some of the unfortunates
