If you use the hose that goes to the original air box it has the proper shape to get on that fitting on the back of the engine. I spliced onto it with a piece of hose.

Had another Knt of a day , got it all done , used a gasket sealant around the cam-lobe D ends of the gasket , also used it on the spark plug part of the gasket , no luck got fkn oil weeping out parts of the gasket and it's still coming out those plug drain holes , im at my wits end, whats next am i supposed to use gasket sealant all over the gasket on both sides ?

Oh yeah left the bars low for somthing different , went to full lock and the screw at the base of the throttle control scratch the paint on the tank down to metal and put a huge dent in it !!!!!

Isn't your bike under warranty Wrecka ? .. I've learnt to attempt the tasks I'm confident of doing .. and leaving the rest to the qualified .. turned out to be cheaper in the long run I've found .. just saying.

eah mate but I don't have the luxury of time running around getting the bike to and from the shop , I get out of bed at 3am and not usually home till 6-7 pm

Olivers would come pick it up and drop it back I'd reckon , know that Team Moto do .. there's also a couple of bike only carriers in Brissy. Did have their numbers in my phone but not anymore.. both of them been at it for years and look after the customers bikes. Had to use both of them in the past.

Does anyone know is it advisable to use some sort of sealant bead on both sides of the rubber gasket to get this thing sealing , i'll cover the whole lot if i have to !!!

Please can i only have product types that are relevant to whats available in Australia , spent a good part of yesterday running around looking for a particular product recommended by a US member thats not even for sale in Australia

Yes i know people keep saying take it to an expert !!!
1) i dont have the time to run around taking the bike here there and everywhere
2) i dont feel like having a pineapple shoved in my arse by dealers that like to overcharge.

There must be someone thats done this before and had success , all im asking for is the process you went through to get it done, im obviously going to have to go and buy a torque wrench and some sort of hex key arrangement for it as well ?

Instead of all this running around and attempt #3, wouldn't it be quicker and easier to make a phone call to the nearest dealer, have them pick it up and fix it under warranty? Then contact Triumph Australia and ask that they include the cost of transporting it (there's a good chance they would). On top of having it done for free, and properly, you still get to eat the pineapple without needing to extract it first.
