Mate looks like you have way to much pressure in that tire , i only run 28psi to allow sidewall to flex, judging by that pic yours isnt flexing

I agree. Looks too firm.

I've been running a Rikon Raptor for several years. Call me nuts, but it has almost 50,000 miles on it. I'd say closer to 46,000 but it's been awhile and my memory is froggy. It was a little squirrely at first, but the longer I rode it, the more the tire rounded itself out. Its pretty close to bald, and hydroplanes on the slightest puddle. Personally, it adds to the fun of riding in the rain. I'm seriously considering going back to stock Metzler, but it's been so long I forgot why I switched.
I figure I saved about $4000 in rear tires since I put on the Rikon. I used to average about 3000 miles per tire, and it was a bit painful every time I had it replaced. My 2005 R3 just rolled 100,000 miles and it will get a new Rikon tomorrow. Thanks for helping me decide!

Santa,
BE AWARE!! My experience has been, you will have the inclination to over ride the MC tire if/when you replace it w DS. Has gotten me in trouble more than once when changing from MC to DS.

I think that after nearly 50,000miles on the DS that he may have passed that possible hurdle.

No you don't understand what I am saying..... being that he is accustomed to the better grip, he will be prone to have the MC tire slide out from under him or not stop in time.

Not sure I'd say one has the inclination (though it's a **** good pun ;) ) - simply it feels "tippy" though I think (in my case) this has something to do with swapping the front back to a Me880 at the same time. I usually run dark on the front too (rear M/C on front rim). The risk really comes from under/over compensating to come upright.
