Norton 850 Mk III

Thinking along the same line as I love the classic old look, but my serious wrenching (maintenance) days are over.

Bonnefication .. a New Zealand based blog site has nicely modified new and old Triumph twins from all over the globe. Think the moderator must bin all the ones that owners try to make look like Harleys.
I like the Scramblers myself , seen a fair few of those personalised nicely .. unfortunately won't get me into the pre-1980 fun and games (mainly the hill climbs) or the Vintage and Classic club

TC...FYI.... I was doing some work for buddy mine who i ride with. I asked him if he still had his Norton 850, he wheeled it out for me. I told him a mate on the triumph forum was looking for one. He has $6K into it and said he'd let it go for $7-$8K. Runs great he told me how much he put into it what he did but i was too tired to process it. If your interested i'll give you his e-mail..

Appreciate his email , thanks mate. That's a nice looking Commando. Aussie dollars not fairing too well at the moment but that'll change.

If Triumph relents to the desires of many of their American dealers, they will release something very akin to this beauty in a limited edition. That would definitely force me to ponder an innovative way to accommodate another bike in my barn!

I saw its prototype at the Triumph exhibit at the IMS in New York on Friday and it really took my breath away:

Isn't it just a tarted up Bonneville .. why wouldn't you just build yourself one if that style appeals to you. Only half a dozen bolt-on bits really ... and a paintjob.

Great looking motor, but my knees would NEVER bend that far!
I have been seriously getting the wants for a Bonnie . . . hmmmmm
