Ok, slightly long story, I installed just finished installing ramair. The process had started just over a week ago but got stalled as I misplaced the IAT extension cable. In the mean time I installed some engine guards and highway pegs. I also wanted to adjust my clutch and shifter height. I noticed that the little "marks" on the actuator arm did not line up with the clutch spline thingy? I had put up pics in another post and a suggestion was made on how to do the adjustment. Unfortunately I was unable to get the marks lined up but that was ok. I was also able to adjust the shifter. The extension cable arrived today and I finished my ramair install. I put most of my bike back together again and went to start it up for the 12 minute tune. Turned the key, good power, lights etc. I pulled in the clutch, push the starter button and nothing. No clicks no nothing. The only thing I had not put back on my bike was the bear claw and the seat. I went back through everything to see if something had come apart etc. but I could not see anything. Any ideas? Also, as a side note, I found it impossible to get the bike into neutral, it seemed all I could find was 1st and 2nd. Ideas?
Yep first thing I would wonder is if you accidentally knocked her in gear while adjusting the shifter. If so she won't start in gear with the side stand down. Can you verify neutral in the gauges (green light)?
You didn't do what I did once I hope. I pushed the odometer reset button instead of the starter button. I swear someday they are going to put me in a home, on the up side I won't know it.
Kill button maybe ??? I never use mine and if it didn't start I might forget to even check it. It's like it doesn't exist in my mind.
OMG , it was the kick stand! Of course this was after re-adjusting the clutch, pulling the ramair ....... So now trying to get everything adjusted back, still not happy with my clutch adjustment. I will have to spend some time on that I think. Thanks to all for help and suggestions.

Don't you just hate it when you discover you did something like that? That's life. On a kickstand note...I always hold my front brake lever firmly when I put my kick stand down. More than once I have caught myself catching my pant cuff or foot on the rear shifter arm when catching the kickstand to put it down and then accidentally popped the bike in gear with it running. Another stupid thing I do.
