Ok, I've searched previous threads but haven't come to any conclusions to my issue... I have had the common high idle issue for a while but it has been very intermittent but now my '05 will not idle, when I let of throttle it just totally shuts off like the the fuel is completely shut off. Could my primary TPS issue be causing this. I pulled the stepper motor off and let it hang free as I started it and that made no difference, still no idle. My TPS voltage shows .64 volts at 0% throttle but wouldn't that cause higher idle instead of no idle, I've cleaned the crank sensor also..... Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated, I want to ride dangit!

It could as Les said be your primary TPS but it may actually be the map it self seeing as you have an early model.
Have you got TuneECU software and cable if so read your map and let us know, there is a issue with earlier maps having idle issues, I can help you if it is an early map, will send you my e-mail details via conversation

I do have Tune ECU and have tried a few different maps, I was thinking the same thing but it acted the same in each tune

This may sound odd, but try starting it, then hit the kill switch - wait a few seconds, and then start it again. My dealer's mechanic suggested this when I reported a similar problem after a 4000km road trip over xmas.
My "no idle" problem was intermittent to begin with, so I would be interested to hear whether this has any effect.

the map that have a 20050 base will play up which is why Triumph released the 20227 and 20228 maps which have a idle fix in the sub base tune which we can't see with our tuning software

Using TuneECU, make sure that the throttle is at 0% when it is closed. If you have twisted the throttle when trying to start, then it could be off. There is a simple way of resetting it, but I can't remember it now.

I believe I tried the 20228 tune, the tune I normally run is 20149, that's what was in it when I bought it last October, it's an '05 with Jardines, no cat, O2 delete and triple K&N's...

I just have R3 in for a TPS issue, no idle and running ruff, cutting out when coming to a stop. The service manager said there is common problem with the TPS switch since 2005.

Seems like mine is TPS issue as well, I suppose I'll go ahead and order it, any suggestions as to where is cheapest place to get one?
