You are right about it being smoother than stock. Even running 85-90 mph for long distances I never had the buzzy feeling in my feet that I used to get above 3000 rpms
YES its amazing how much smoother the big HP CARPENTER engines are and I get great gas mileage also as much as 45mpg on the highway

1olbull A lot of dealerships back in September advertised on the internet that they had A Rocket X for sale but in reality did not. Even if the bike had been sold three to five months early they still advertised. Bait and switch game.

That there is BS and would piss me off.
Might consider dropping a consumer complaint.

It's the same in real estate sales on the internet properties stay on the web long after they are sold usually for more than advertised due to "spirited bidding "amongst buyers so the agent tries to sell you another equally good property but "unfortunately"priced considerably higher ,I liken it to Decoy ducks set out to draw the suckers in ,I know this happens in the used car yards advertising decoy cars that are always sold, and the white shoe have we got a deal for you guy circles for the kill some motor cycle traders may be the same,

Cycletrader lists a lot for sale, they aren't actually there, just old adds. They all try and sell me a rocket 3 roadster ....lmao.

I called every single one last week, ad only number 055 (used) is really for sale, and the one in Maryland I think it was 067 or something like that.

For what it's worth, I was at the Chicago Motorcycle show yesterday and was walking around looking for the Triumph booth. I saw some triumph banners in the distance, but when I got there, it was just a table with two nice guys who I talked to for a bit about the Rocket. They pointed me in the direction of where they are hiding all the new models and when I got there I was actually really shocked at how small it was. In fact, I walked past it two times and didn't even notice that I had missed them!

Anyways....I sat on the new speed triple + thruxton r, both of which look incredible. They did a really fantastic job, especially on the Thruxton R. The instrument cluster is incredible, the tank looks great and I honestly hope this sells a lot of units for them. I got to talking to the guy on the floor, he asked what I am riding and I mentioned the R3R. He was saying how (like many have mentioned on here already) that they are redoing their entire lineup within the next 4 years. I asked him did he think a CC bump would be coming, he responded with a quick, probably not. He was saying the R3 is just getting harder and harder to meet regulations in the EU and (this was his input not an official statement) believes it will become a NA only bike. No clue how how accurate that is but he mentioned more than likely, throttle by wire, traction control etc, but he thinks it wouldn't get much of an aesthetic change, which is fine with me and probably most people anyway.

None of this is gospel, but I figured I'd share what I heard.

Also, there were virtually no bikes at the booth. No R3, No cruiser of any kind, No tigers, nothing. It was 1 thruxton r, 1 speed triple, 1 street twin, 1 classic bonnie. Thought that was very interesting, especially no tigers, considering they had a rather large display for the Africa Twin. You think Triumph would want some eyes on their ADV bike.

That was better than the Minneapolis show. They didn't even show up here...

I was at the Timonium, MD show yesterday and Pete's Cycle showed up with a full Semi Trailer full of bikes. Just one R3R and 1 2015 R3T but they T was listed at $14k, not a bad deal considering it is two tone red/black.
I can't afford another bike of any type right now, and even though I will most likely buy a Ural next, I still want a few more Rockets...

A URANAL ? did u test one yet a buddy had one and he didnt like it he sold it after only riding it twice But in defence of the bike he is a notorious ******* that always makes bad choices when it comes to motorcycles and cars he bought a brand new KAW VULCAN then painted flat black from spray cans and sold it 3 months later for less then half of what he paid for it ?
