News panniers Triumph 25 l

I'm selling mine (panniers and brackets) if anyone is interested (not the under pan though it goes with the new ones to allow mounting).

I went with the Hepco & Becker C-Bow system with Orbit (waterproof) cases.

I'm in Toronto, Canada but can ship anywhere (postage paid by buyer). DM if interested.

Just an interesting FYI, my Triumph dealer in Burbank, CA just updated my pannier order to the new 25L models and they are the same price of $575 + tax.
Very interested to hear your assessment of them when you get them. Many are eager to hear if the zippers have improved

My Hepco & Becker C-Bow Racks and Bags arrived (direct from Germany in 5 days!!! Can you believe it!!!).

At first I was a little perturbed that they didn't use the same mounting points of the Triumph panniers but after I got them on, I am happy with them. Even more happy than after today's ride and going into them several times, I wasn't pissed off at the the g@d-d@mn zippers because they were crap. They are a little smaller than I would have liked (just 15L each) but they carry my rain gear and the odds and ends I take with me AND they are 100% waterproof. I always planned to pack a Givi bag for any overnight trips (2 - 26 days)

My news bagage, today
I like to see these Triumph bags on the R3R vs the Buffalo. Not sure I'd prefer the Buffalo as I wonder whether the Triumph bags are looking more sport bike like vs the Buffalo looking more custom bike like ?🤔

Had a zipper lock jam on me on a recent trip and had to break it to gain access. Filed a claim with Triumph and they sent me out the updated (25l) panniers. Main differences are: the zipper lock is now at the front of the bags and the zippers are solid metal (previous gen had a plastic insert in the zipper), the dry bags (with closable air valve/vent) are built into the pannier itself via zipper, and they are slightly larger (obviously). Thats all I could tell. Obviously no more zippered mesh compartment, since the whole bag interior is now a dry bag. Same weight rating, same mounting mechanism (i even swapped mine from the originals instead of trying to swap the lock mechanism to the new ones). Hopefully these last longer than the previous model.

Triumph should replace all of the older bags with the newer version. I can tell the zippers on mine are just waiting to break as they are flimsy, warped and delicate. My bad for getting them but it was a deal that came with the Bags and Rack with a discounted price on the Rocket. I'm a sucker for a sale I guess. :banghead:
