Newly found drone footage of my 2023 Rocket 3 crash at Bonneville Speed Week

The exact same view I had of the crash, except I was much closer and at ground level.
I clearly remember yelling the "f" word in sync with, and louder, with each swap of the rear end and continuing on yelling it many times after your high-side at my WFO voice level.
Twas VERY S-C-A-R-Y!!!

I need to apologize to all the crew for scaring you all. Believe or not seeing the drone footage helped me putting that crash behind me. I'm ready to break 200 mph but I need the right bike.

Why did the bike become unstable so quickly after launch?
Great question. Combination of a few factors but mostly it rest on my shoulders. The course was a little wetter than usual, the front end had a bit of weave I found during the first two runs probably due to the tires and chassis. I had a handle on the front end weave during the first two runs but I pushed it too hard and broke the rear end loose on the crash run and that combined with the front end weave did not suit the bike or course too well. When the bike had enough it spat me off.

Wish I had it!
. . . If I only had Rob's H2 . . .
Well the 1000cc modified partially streamlined supper charged record is 241 mph which probably require close to 300 rwhp. The 1000cc Prouduction record is 205 mph. Not too many 1000cc naturally aspirated production bikes that will run. 200 mph on the salt.

I figure 220 rwhp on a 1000cc sport bike would get close to 205 mph. I've not found a production naturally aspirated 1000cc bike with 220 rwhp yet.

Back seat driver here....
Would any rear brake pressure have helped? i know it happened quick and you did not expect it to go like that. STILL good it happened at a low speed vs high speeds. GREAT FOOTAGE, thanks for the upload
