Well that's another lie your friend told you. There is no way any human/individual selling their car in trade-in can come anywhere close to lying as much as a car salesman. And usually when a dealer is taking a car in trade in, they are the one doing the raping, and the individual trading in his/her car is the one being raped, no matter how much he/she lied, they will still be raped by the dealer. Sorry, back to topic I guess.

Our mileage will vary on this subject, obviously. But growing up poor, I have witnessed some pretty unscrupulous behaviour from ordinary folk when it comes to selling or trading their own dilapidated and neglected vehicles. Rolling back or swapping out odometers, stuffing bananas whole in the diff (to quieten it), pouring a yeast concoction into the cooling system (to stop the radiator leaking), adding additive upon additive to the engine oil to stop it from smoking and/or oil leaking by gaskets, closing rusted-through underbody parts with Pratley Putty and rattle-can black. The list goes on and on and does not only apply to cars - or South Africans. I will side with my friend's tongue-in-cheek opinion for now, based on what I have experienced myself (-:
I remember a study, about 25 yrs ago, where an assesment at the American Dental Association was made on a patient that 1 crown was needed. Then they went across the Country to many cities, for a dental evaluation.
Not one dentist identified the same tooth that needed a crown, but rather everything from multiple fillings, root canals, and crowns on OTHER teeth.
Interesting.
Not meaning to change the subject, but for those looking for a better sound on the new rockets, try this. Go through the gears approaching redline on each gear. Sounds like Nascar. Really nice! Extra gas cheaper than the pipes. But then, you might want it to sound fast when going slow so get the pipes.

You don’t feel the stock exhaust is too tame for the largest displacement production bike on the planet? It’s the only thing that immediately struck me as wrong with the bike. I feel like the manufacturers should put in an easily removed sound baffle insert that would simply make the stock sound louder. I think it sounds great in stock form but just needs about 30% more volume. I find the Comp Werks to be a little too loud with the wrong tone. Needs to be deeper need to have more bass. It does add considerable power but I would trade some do that for more rumble.
