New Zard Pipe for the 2500cc

I’ve heard the same thing. Tell me why apply an Arrow badge to a Triumph muffler? Is that not outright fraud? I as told buy the factory rep that is has a different muffler.

Could the brakes be made by Triumph and just be badged Brembo?
You know know, now I am am very curious. It says something in the description that intimates to me there is additional sound output. This suggests something more than just badge. Either way the pipe is so much better looking than the blue collar version. The TFC is a masterpiece.

In addition, beautifully styled one-of-a-kind Arrow silencers with carbon fiber end caps and heat shields deliver the unbelievable distinctive new deep growling triple-powered Rocket 3 TFC soundtrack. *Local legislation may apply

I have never been a fan of Arrow Exhausts. Also Italian but on the opposite end compared to Zard, price-wise. And with nothing, in particular, to shout out about, e.g. looks or performance, except for being affordable. They do, however, and like Akrapovič, produce headers and full exhausts as well.

I think the first company to come out with big fat headers fitting of over 800cc per pot snd a sharp well implemented can such as Zard has done at a price under $2k that adds 10-15hp is going to have a hard time keeping up with demand. I do think this engine would benefit from larger diameter headers.

Agreed. Richard (TTS Performance) also has mentioned that the headers are pretty but simply too small. Carpenter is offering a full pipe with larger headers, but it certainly does not even remotely share Zard's attention to aesthetics (-:

I believe someone with a TFC was the one who said it’s the same exhaust. The arrow part could easily just be the carbon and it wouldn’t be fraud. Easy enough, too, to have Arrow change the baffling or internal packing and make it match the “custom” moniker in the sales materials and that could change sound signature. It looks identical from the outside mechanically. I wouldn’t know I never had the option to buy one (sold out)! Wanted one. Even if it’s the same mechanically it looks way sharper and does the bike a real service. Use your iPhone decibels app outdoors at idle from directly behind and have a friend with the R or GT do the same. If the same level or real close, that’s the hinting at the same pipe. Of course they may have opened it up a bit to satisfy the lawyers and match the marketing materials describing bespoke Arrow! I do hope it’s not just appearance. Someone else said it was however.
I have heard on the web that they are the same. I did not respond because I just did not want to get into an argument about it. I was told by the southeastern Triumph sale rep that it was a different muffler that could not be purchased by anyone that did not own a TFC. Was it the truth or a lie? I was also told it came with a different tune to match the different muffler and only other difference were the titanium valves. I’d like to believe he was honest but I have not proven it.

I should go to the dealer and do a side by side sound test to try to find out for myself.

A friend who sells cars told me that Vehicle Salesmen would say anything to make a sale, but are only the second-worst liars known. The worst liars, he professed with confidence, are the owners of used vehicles when offering those vehicles on trade-in (-:

Well that's another lie your friend told you. There is no way any human/individual selling their car in trade-in can come anywhere close to lying as much as a car salesman. And usually when a dealer is taking a car in trade in, they are the one doing the raping, and the individual trading in his/her car is the one being raped, no matter how much he/she lied, they will still be raped by the dealer. Sorry, back to topic I guess.

I’ll eventually do the side by side test but either way I like the bike I bought. It’s going on a nice mountain ride tomorrow.
