I joined this forum to see if there was any more information with regard to a horrible problem I had with high tick-over (1200rpm) and rough running. I'd checked everything, and everyone told me it was a symptom of an air leak in a vacuum pipe somewhere. I went through EVERYTHING two or three times. No error codes on TuneECU as well. As I have a touring holiday in Spain planned soon, decided to update the Rocket with a new(er) one.

Searched ALL of the UK without success, then upped the search value just enough to rule out the new R3 models (too small for me & Mrs W). I finally found one at my nearest dealer in Stratford-upon-Avon. It was a late 2017 model, gloss black with red stripes, and 1,236miles. Investigation has shown that it was one of the last batch of 25, and the very last one registered in the UK on 31Dec17 before the Euro exhaust regulations banned it. It had had two owners, the first of which turned out to be friends of ours from the UK club !

Anyway, I've spent a couple of weeks getting it how I want - not doing anything irreversible so it can be put back to stock., and here we are:-

Finally solved the problem with the existing Rocket. I booked it into a local workshop where I know the head mechanic -he's "old-school", and very knowledgeable. Five hours later he call, "Found it". It was a bit of grit coated in tar, jammed up in the linkage behind the throttle bodies by the stepper motor. As stupid as that 😫

I was so relieved.. I got it back, advertised it - and it sold very quickly. Result.
