New to R3

Another G'day Rick ..said a quick hello to your dogs first .. bit f#ckin rude I guess ..haha

G'day and welcome from another of the Ausies Rick,.
I to have a 2011 R3R and have Staintune performance exhaust fitted, nice note and elutes cat and crossover box.
See this link: http://staintune.com.au/products/triumph-rocket-roadster
If you look at my photos you'll see the std look is almost kept with this system.
Good luck, and enjoy...

WELCOME from sunny and HOT WA!
That crossover box is empty, however, due to its design somewhat restrictive.
If you go with TORs and 2780 trip K&Ns with a dyno (best) or canned tune, you shall be impressed with the improvement!
Thanks for this information. The 2780 is the map #? or the K&N filter number. I am new at ECU tuning on a lap top. I have been using Fuelpaks or power commander on H-D and Kawasaki bikes so I have some learning to do with computers.

Hello Rick nd welcome from VA. beside the cat delete when using the TORs, they are a 1/2 bigger in inner diameter. I say just set your stock exhaust aside for now and slip on some TORS.
Thats the kind of advice i am looking for. Thanks Boog.

and a yo from new zealand and another new r3 owner, a 2014 roadster. i also am still unsure about the exhaust scenario - that staintune system looks really nice to me but trying not to spend an arm and a leg

Sorry, should have been more clear.
The 2780 is the size/style K&Ns that will fit under your bearclaw.
I suggest you go to Flipmeister to purchase them and the air temp filter.
