New Rotrex C38-91 Supercharger

My thanks to Niels Ohlsen of Rotrex Denmark for setting me up with the -92 housing. :cool:

The dyno chart above is a K24 engine with C38-91 blower:

Displacement = 2354cc
Bore x Stroke = 87mm x 99mm
Static Compression = 10.5/1

Compare the K24 stroke to the R3 stroke of 94.3mm, and you'll see why I'm confident running well over 9000 RPM with Carrillo rods and forged turbo pistons. Also, look at the 3 PSI loss of pressure they have between blower and manifold. Less loss = more RWHP. :)

Continuous extreme piston speeds (high RPM + longish stroke) require ceramic coated pistons. Take a look at this Roush-Yates forced induction piston:

Here's what Roush-Yates Performance says about the benefits of ceramic coating:

Coating Description: Pistons with Top & Skirt Coating is designed for High Performance (Especially Turbo, Supercharged & Nitrous Applications) where High Heat and Wear is present. Ceramic Dome coating helps reflect heat away from Piston and offers following benefits:

-More Efficient Fuel Burn & Consumption

-Piston Retains Shape
-Less Galling / More Durable Piston
-Skirt coating helps with wear / ring seal / and when used with Ceramic Dome Coating Increased Power

Here's what's inside my engine... look familiar? :)

My thanks to NEVILLE LUSH of Neville Lush Racing for his recommendations for my R3 RACING engine. BTW, I use the same 10.5/1 static compression as the 584 HP K24 above. ;)

Steve, the Delco D585 IS NOT a drop-in replacement coil for the R3. I'm using sixpak for reliable ignition up to 30psi, as recommended by my Motec dealer. Motec ECU will drive them, but I have no idea about the stock Keihin.

They can be found with most advantageous pricing on Amazon.com :cool:
