New Rocket 3

Welcome. The answers to all your questions will be on here somewhere I'm the local computer wizz but I don't know much about the tech. side of motorcycles, someone on here will be along shortly to help.

Wizz .. in Australia that actually means .. well , hopeless ..

G'day and welcome, Adam. There a few K&N options, depending on how visible you want them. You can simply replace the stock filter with a K&N under the seat - bit of a waste of time except it won't need replacing, just cleaning. There's also an under tank K&N but it still leaves a lot of the stock plumbing and plenum but it does free up space in your air box. There are conflicting opinions on that one with some people saying it draws in warmer air from above the engine. Then there's triple K&Ns with you can squeeze under the "bear claw" or cut it to expose them. Have a look here - and lots of discussion and pics in various threads on this site. http://www.flipmeisters.com/products/kn-emgo-filters/
Others have fitted bigger K&Ns. Worth a bit of a search but Hanso's are probably worth a look at - . I'm sure he'll tell you the part no. (I think they might be RX4040).

Then there's the Ramair option - again, do a search - and plenty of discussion about the benefits of that over triples and of retaining the stock bell mouths.

You'll see from my pics that I have something different again, as others have also done.

Happy hunting!

Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply's, I'm in Australia, and thank you for the advice, I will sort something out and send through some pics shortly.

Again thank you for all the advice, I really like the way the ramair kit reads with it's bellmouth and so on, was wandering if anyone in Australia has played with one and had the power commander 5 installed, would you remove the o2 sensor or leave it on?

Welcome Adam and please post some pics of your bike with the apes.
