Welcome Bruce from Maine USA, a very nice ride you have there, love the paint . Be patient with the plastic, you can let Goo remover set on it with a damp cloth, slightly warm is better, but not hot. It's available at auto stores, several different kinds available. Once it's off, it will take a while, you will have to polish the stain. Polishes removes minor scratches and stains, do so and it'll look new again.
