New Helmet on the near horizion

I have worn the Bell Mag 9 for a couple years - it's OK but a tad too round for my fat head and can sometimes chafe my forehead.
Looking hard at the Shark Vantime = any comments?

the roof desmo is also a modular folding all the way back

Back in one piece, I see, Amigo!
Twas fun riding with you again!

i was all set to buy an evoline 3.but read the reviews they are not all good.one guy said he carries a tube of super glue as bits keep falling off.i finally bought the shoei j cruise....

That"s funny as it took looking at the asphalt while sliding down the pavement to remove some of the bits like the chin nets and most of the center of the face shield. Yet the chin piece stayed locked in place and I only received a Black eye from the brain rattle. I call that a tough helmet. I bet there are more out there but I retired from testing them (I hope ;))

I had a heck of a time finding something that was comfortable, and didn't leave a red mark on my forehead. Honda dealer sold me a Shoei Qwest, and explained to me the difference in shapes of the different brands. I've already forgot all that chit, the Shoei is OK, but I should have got one size smaller, and let it break in. I wound up ordering thicker padding from Shoei, to make it nice.

I had the first model Evoline for five years only upgraded as the newer Evoline 3 has some improvements just bought it before I went to USA did over 13,000km there and many km (over 2,000) since I came and nothing wrong with mine

Bought my Evoline 3 in 2012, put my headset in/on it, my go pro mount on the side, rode it through 22 countries in Europe for three years, not a single issue. :) Fortunately I haven't had a skid test like Scott! Not a single bit has fallen off. Did have to lube the locks this year?:ninja:
Online reviews can be great, but have to be put in context. People are far more likely to go online and complain than to put positive feedback. If it's overwhelmingly negative. I stay away. If the negatives are all for different minor issues, I'm not as turned off, particularly if there are several positives.

I use a Shoei GT-Air. It's nice, but I think I'll switch to the Shoei RF-1200 for my next helmet.

There was a study in Germany a while back on the distribution of impact locations on motorcycle helmets in any sort of collision. It found that 35% of impacts to the head occur on the chin.

My last helmet was a Adv style helmet that saw much use while I owned a BMW Adventure. The visor on the helmet works not so well with a rocket that has fly screen. I will not change my set up...I love the look too much...
Thinking of going retro old school an open face style...what lids are you rocking on your roadsters?

I've always been a full face guy wondering how life with an exposed grill would be?
I've taken way to many bugs and bees and hornets and wasps and rocks and even a 2-inch 8-32 screw to the face shield to ever go open-face again....even with a R3T windshield....
currently wear a Nolan N-103....but thinkin' bout this.....
