My Corbin Seats came in.
Just for everyone's information the silver on the side panel matches the bike nicely.
Obvious questions forthcoming...

- Did it increase your seat height by how much (it looks a lot taller than stock, same for pillion)
- It also appears to be wider (but that could be the photo), is it?
- What did it set you back in Canadian dollars (Price, Duties, Taxes, Shipping, etc.)
- Without a 1000km on it, how does it compare to the stock for fit, comfort, etc?

Looks great btw.

Thanks in advance...

1. The increase in seat height is negligible (I am 5'7" and I could not tell the difference) but the seat position is further back by an inch or so (if you already have an issue with reach this may not be for you).
2. The width of the driver seat is the same but the pillion is both wider and taller (this is what I wanted as the stock pillion is not sufficient for my wife).
3. If you buy it from a Canadian dealer then they don't charge you for Shipping/Duty (this can be expensive). I purchased it from Dynamic Cycle Parts in Mississauga and it cost $1,079.15 all in (worth every penny).
4. So far I have only done a couple of short (1hr) rides and here is my opinion:
Driver Seat - harder than the stock seat but I did not have any discomfort.
Pillion - My wife said that it is considerably better than the stock seat (the pillion seat is not as firm as the driver seat).

I will update everyone on my thoughts after I am able to put in a long run this weekend.

I hope that this helps.

More than 1 000 US $ to have harder seat than GT stock seat ?
It could have been nice to improve the quality of the foam of the new seat for that cost.

FYI
It is $1079.19 Canadian Dollars.

Corbin has been in this game for quite some time and I believe they use quality materials.
I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination but I think if they wanted to make it plusher they would have had to add additional foam and subsequently raise the seat height.
This would not be ideal for shorter riders like myself so I am glad they went this route.

Like I said I will take her on a long ride this weekend and let everyone know how comfortable it is for the long haul.

I am quite sure that Corbin know what they are doing. I just say that for that price you could have more comfort. It is great to choose the color of everything online with their software. (I played with it, and was ready to order one dual sit). It could be also great to introduce your weight and if you want a firm or comfort seat, as parameters.

The most important is to be happy ! My Wife is happy with her new seat, and I am as well. So I hope it will be the same for both of you on long rides 🙂

Gorgeous! Also, I didn't know they'd do the Union Jack next to the logo for you.

Corbin seats are designed hard but are supposed to be ergonomically superior. I had one on a 2005 R3 for 8 years. The only problem I had with it was that the leather got slick over the years.

I have to agree, I had one on my 2015 Roadster and it was **** hot. Hard yes but by far the most comfy and supportive Seat I’ve ever ridden on.
