I had my D&D's put on at the dealership. They actually look stock w/ the ends cut at an opposite angle. You can see them here on my girl...

There was a marked improvement in tone and loudness but not "Harley Loud". My bride has a Fat Boy and I jokingly ask her to let me start mine first...as I can't hear mine over hers... I haven't installed RamAir yet. I'm not sure I will; but others have and love it. I'm happy with the way she runs now and I like the look. Now, if I had a Roadster, I might feel differently. I'm chroming out my R3T (new chrome recently ordered)... a Roadster I would black out.

I don't have access to my girl right now, but maybe @Jag could send you a sound clip?
