just my opinion
if i was doing my clutches i would just use about 1/2 of the springs so as to give it a little boast.
for example if using two spring place them opposite of each other. if three in thirds ect
So your saying put in three Carpenter springs and two stock spings? I think iirc there are only 5, so it cant be done evenly....
 
I would think that u could use 3 (2 then across 1)would work OR 2 ACROSS FROM EACH OTHER. sorry caps

Wouldn't this pressure difference cause uneven application of the plate?

Christmas came late for me, but I finally have everything back!

@R-III-R Turbo mentioned to check for swarf. There was some in my coolant passages too, this is NOT from Carpenters head work. The chips from head porting are very small.

Also, the APE tensioner is now black, which saved me having it made black!
