My Carpenter 240 build

Another item I found worth sharing:

If your going with a tripple K&N, or just need a suitable protection for the air inlet temp sensor, I found a Vibrant Performance 2139 for $9.00 at Jegs. Very small and compact.

I purchased the APE headbolts. The conrod bolts iirc about $56.00 for 6 bolts....clutch is just what Carpenter supplies. Hope the clutch pull isnt crazy hard. Im keeping the stock clutch until it needs replacement.
Carpenter just supply's heavy springs which are great as for stiffness I really don't notice that but then I have a lot of miles on them so might be used to them. Every now and then I test ride someones stock bike the last one was a 06 non updated and starting to jump out of second on a hard acceleration. Can't even say the clutch pull was light I just did not notice it at all either way. It was also the first time I road with the Carpenter Side winder (calf burner if you do not have a roadster buy your leg some asbestos for protection). I can see where you might get away with it on a roadster without forward pegs. still sounds as good as the old brutes. anyway just make sure all your clutch components are in tolerance, check the back of the lifter piece and the face of the lifter shaft for any signs or burning or damage replace if signs of wear exist as they are not expensive and you have her open already. (I increased the spring bolt length on mine to fill and go fully past the radii of the spring towers for strength make sure you use the right torque on them little buggers you if you don't want pull the clutch basket off to drill a broken one out!!!!

also I can not speak to Barnett or for how long your going to be running the Kevlar shavings thru the motor before it causes some type of blockage if any. I used the MTC fibers and will never use any others. I also stayed with and still have never had to replace a steel.

THE latest CARP clutch springs are HEAVY and I think you might want the weaker ones And there are heat shields for the Sidewinder exhaust so you dont fry your leg

I dont have a sidewinder exhaust. I have a CES system. And Im fine with the Carpenter springs. I just dont want a ridiculous hard pull. Im sure whatever Bob includes in the kit is what I need, so im good with that. And as @warp9.9 mentioned he doesnt even really notice it.

My clutch assy looks like it just came out of the factory. Happy about that. Id read that the stock steels and fibres Triumph uses are a very good quality and can handle the higher output motors.

Did you say heat shields for the Sidewinders? Last time I called, the folks at Carpenter said no heat shields were available. Could you confirm please.

THERE are sheilds as I ve seen them on the Sidewinder and I have them on my Brute aka streetrod pipe Ill try to find out for you

just my opinion
if i was doing my clutches i would just use about 1/2 of the springs so as to give it a little boast.
for example if using two spring place them opposite of each other. if three in thirds ect
