Mods for Rocket speeding...

Those bags look suspiciously like CS4 (see my bike), formerly K-Drive, also in Belgium.

Yes, they do! But the CS4's are made from real leather, and mine are slimmer (14,5cm - just under 6 inches, while the CS4 bags are 18,5 cm).

Speed update: 130mph on a short stretch before I ran out of street. Everything still planted and stable.

Not even full impulse drive yet :D

Interesting corporate intrigue. I had K-Drive on my first R3 and really liked them. Last year when I got my second R3, there was no K-Drive anymore. I found the CS4's, which supposedly took over K-Drive and got them. They're not bad but not as good as K-Drive, firstly because of the synthetic, Iparex, which is better than what CS4 uses, and the click mounting, the patents for which Longride must have acquired. The Longride model numbers are the same as the K-Drives. I believe I had the 147.

were your handles on top just leather straps on your KDrive?
that is what was on mines I replaced then with suitcase handles still use them easy click on and off

They were the same material as the bag - Iparex - as I remember.

Angry Flyscreen is amazing over 150. Do a tuck like you're riding a sport bike and its dead smooth for the rider, make a small but very still pocket just over the tank by the gauges. Progressive 440 rears, CES, bar end mirrors, and slightly narrower and less raked back bars yield zero stability issues at stupid high speeds.

Ok, here's a new bid: 136 mph with bags and screen.
The engine was still pulling very hard at that point, I think it would be good for 160, even with screen & bags.
Concerning the chassis I am not quite as sure. There was quite a movement going through the whole whale on final throttle down, plus a short weave. But as you know, at that kind of speed the difference between a little weave and catastrophy is just a split second... so yes, to go faster a steering damper would be helpful.

Sir Warp, since I used up the speedo this time (flat 220 kph), I hope that will qualify for "full impulse drive"...
Because I'm afraid I will need a nice highway to go any faster ... already running out of straight road nearby :whitstling:
