We used to have to cross the Cordillera Central to from San Juan to Ponce for several years. The road was called "La Piquina"and there must have been 300 turns in the two hour trip.

This was in the early 60s. I remember the Biker crowd passing us. Mostly tall boot with tucked pants and Police white and black type helmets. The bikes were embellished with as much and as many lights you could hang. No LED then. The used metal feelers under the bikes so that when they leaned the feelers, called Bigotes, craped and produced all kinds of sparks and noise. I was a 8 to 10 y/o kid so it made a big impression on me.

Has anyone tried placing a fan of feelers under the bike to try to scare the folk at night.
