MAYBERRY DAYS 2016

My boss just threw a wrench into my vacation plans for this event,
Apparently he already has vacation scheduled for Sept. So it looks like I will not be attending this event this year :mad::mad:
 
Gents here is motel similar to that we stayed at in Maggie Valley. Call and reserve ASAP as Mayberry Days fills up rooms quick. $85 a night. Call and ask for the owner- Louise.

Just called. "We don't take reservations until the last part of July. But I'm just the maintenance man. Would it be a lot of trouble for you to call back tomorrow and talk to my wife? She usually takes all the reservations and she'll be here then."

Hmmmm...... I would hate to have to ask him "Where's the ice machine located?"
 
She specifically said to ask for her (Louise). They generally don't take reservations this far out but agreed after she and I spoke.

When the time comes call in sick a contagious sickness and can't be around people for a week or two:roll: or just tell them ur sick in the head and getting ready to go postal if u don't have some time off:eek::D
 
I called that motel and they don't have refrigerators and people with meds like insulin that has to stay cold need a fridge. I say we find a different place.
 
I was hoping to go to this and meet up with you guys again as RAAXI is too pricy for a trip of that length with the exchange rate but $85 USD per night is $115 CDN right now and that is a bit spendy too! Guess we'll see what happens with my tax return?
P.S. despite rumours to the contrary I like my beer a little on the cool side so a room with a fridge would be good :cool:
