If your talking friday the 21st then anyone you see there will be either one of us or the two owners. As the week prgresses some things will firm up. I'm not sure when I'm going to get on the road but I plan on being in Maggie Valley by tomorrow afternoon. Might have to stay at the wally world parking lot in Waynesville my bet is the holiday is full this weekend. But hey lets ride
Rain jacket is a hit. Glad i went with a 2x plenty of room. Big difference between the $25.00 dollar jacket and the $100 dollar plus jacket. Made for motorcycle riding not fishing or hunting. Light weight but lined and has some kind of rubber stop in cuffs that i think will work out rather well. Will take pics in morning and post. Got a deal i think. Really like it and today on my way to work will get to field test it. Now i'm thinking after receiving a surprised raise from work and a really nice end of the year bonus will be looking into some boots that are waterproof. Nothing fancy just something that will keep my socks dry. My gloves are water proof so got that covered. Figure might as well. Got a few extra bucks and might as well be prepared.
Regarding "waterproof boots" ....my personal opinion is find the most comfortable boot for the climate and use a cheap waterproof boot cover over them, if you really want to have dry socks.
Even expensive waterproof boots will get saturated if in the rain long enough.
I carry cheap boot covers that fold to the size of a handkerchief.
Reminds me of a story though...we were riding Rockets in WV and got caught in a storm. Eventually it eased off and one of the riders motioned to pull off and stop. He sat on a gaurd rail and removed one boot at a time...turning them upside down and pouring a pint of water out of each boot.
He complained heavily about how expensive the boots were and guaranteed waterproof.
I pointed out that the next time he wants to test the waterproofness of the boots he should put the rainpants OVER THE BOOTS! NOT TUCKED IN, AS HE HAD THEM!!!
The frog toggs I bought are the ones Warp has. He said get the fishing frog toggs. More expensive, but a lot thicker. Got the at ****s or Field and Stream

Hahahahaha, true story, my kids were little and the internet was pretty new, I think Yahoo was the first search engine. They wanted to look up the sporting goods store so they typed in d i c k s. " Daddy, daddy, come look!"
I explained the importance of being specific in your search terms. We still laugh about that one.
