Trying to attend Maggie Valley if I can get a motel room. I'm on a wait list right now. I know there are other motels in the area but if I can't get into the Holiday, I won't attend.

My daughter lives in Colorado Springs.

What day will you be attending the Oyster Fest?

@Navigator the Comfort Inn is right across the street -- might as well be there. And the "A Holiday" is nothing to write home about - just a place that allows some disparate Rocket captains to assemble. I'll escort you if need be -- you've certainly earned it.

Sonny, too good for an SMC? Naw. Most of my local riding buddies are Chiefs and the one I rode to the Arctic Circle with is a retired BMCS. I'll just say I like a quite night's sleep these days.

The problem with riding Colorado is riding to Colorado. Super slab through eastern Washington, Idaho and Utah is pretty boring.

It seems to me that Manitou Springs flooded out fairly recently. My daughter and husband are visiting here for a few days and I believe she mentioned it.

I've stayed there a BUNCH of times and have never been disappointed. They have clean rooms and newly remodeled suites in the back. Those suites are awesome!

The five star hotels you're looking for are on up the road.
