Living Legend
I confirmed with my son that I can take his Rocket but unfortunately it's been sitting a couple of years. He's been stationed at the Pentagon with about a 2hour train ride commute each way. Add a wife and our three (beautiful) children and he's just not been able to ride. He's going to drain/dump the tank and buy a new battery. I'll change the oil when I arrive. He might be off on military duty somewhere. He has oil and filter. Last time I visited we installed the EB ignition switch relay and I was able to tour the area and ride down to DC.
Just got off the phone with Rob at the Inn and they are booked. We talked quite a long time because he's also an adventure rider and we had stories to share about riding in Alaska and the Yukon Territory. He took my information and said either he or his wife would call if they got a cancellation. I hope they do. I haven't been to a Rocket rider event in years and am very much looking forward to this.
I got off the phone and said to my wife how interesting it was that I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with a guy who lives across the country, one who I don't even know, and we are talking like we are old friends.
