Maggie in June

Dear everyone. I'm just a gonna trow dis out der hey. (Someone help Wendy with the Wisconsin speak.) I have 10 rooms reserved at The Holiday Motel in Maggie Valley, NC on June 6th tru June 14 [weekend is Sat 10 and Sun 11 June].

Holiday number is (828) 926-1186

I either need to fill em up or cancel them by the end of Feb. I tought mabee Jonesy and Rainman and STB and others in da area would like to get together for a long weekend. It's Friday tru Wednesday. I had them reserved for a Memorial run but it doesn't seem too many have signed up for it, soooo....

Just throwing this out there - My wife and I have a cabin in Murphy, NC a little over an hour from Maggie Valley. We have a garage with a full shop, lift, tools, tire changer, etc. We also have a trailer. We will be there during that weekend so if anyone gets in a bind and needs any help during your visit to NC just PM me and we will be sure to help!

@BlackSails Love to see you at both gatherings: Maggie Valley NC has become a favorite, such is the location and good times to be had there, nominally 6-11 June, with most folks there Friday and Saturday, leaving Sunday; And Wytheville (Hillsville), VA 31 July - 6 August. There is a third activity -- a virtual gathering in the spirit of "wherever two or more are gathered" -- associated with the line of the solar eclipse on 21 August -- the suggestion is everyone who can go to their preferred place on the line, and then report back.

Thanks for the info everyone. As a group of geese is a gander, is a group of rockets a barrage?

I took a long weekend trip the end of April on the rocket witha buddy on a Wing from Nashville to Columbia Md. for the M3 Rock Festival. On the ride home our 1st stay was in Wytheville. On a side note we discovered an Amazing restaurant called the Log House. Its a way cool Must Visit. But back to my point. I've heard from friends who live in that corridor of Va. that the cops are seriously bad. And we experienced at LEAST 5 cops on 81 just from Wytheville down to the TN line. After which they seemed to disappear.

Anyway, Im gonna do my best to ride out to MV 2 up with my wife. Don't know bout Wytheville yet as i'm thinking bout shipping "The Walrus" to San Diego to ride home some route from out west around the end of July.

Getting ready to head out next Thursday for MV, just changed the oil and filter, installed new pads all around last week gives me time to get them bedded in, had a new front tyre installed a few weeks ago-was hoping that my new exhaust(sidewinder )would be here but alas not to be so will have to keep the TORs on for now, also rechecked my cam-cover bolts for tightness as I installed the new gasket a wee while ago and all was good.
I will be bringing my van as I stop by my friends house in Powder Springs GA as he has a few plumbing jobs for me to do, when is anyone else planning on arriving ?

Just sent you a text, I will be leaving Florida early Thursday morning and I mean early planning on getting to MV around 1-2ish have the room until Monday(actually leaving Wed but have to do a plm job in GA)
