Parked round the side of the Nabiac motorcycle museum. TC and I had decided to meet up for a few days in the area and visit the museum. Peter breezed in on his way to or from somewhere - that's his bike with the swag on the back. Typical! The pic above at the coffee shop was taken that day.

At his brother's property. I thought I'd missed him and had prepared a message out of fibro offcuts lying on the ground. I hadn't though and spent a great afternoon with him and his family.

Peter had to have a beer because he'd lost his bottle of rum. Crisis averted though; he found it shortly after under the seat in the ute.

I still remember the first time i met you Pete . Packrats wher going for their end of month run and we wher meeting up at the coomera BP . I was filling my bike up and you rode up behind me . I just assumed you was there for the ride as you was on your Rocket 3 . But it was just luck that you ran into us. i remember you wher blown away by all the rockets and other triumphs all in the same place and asked if you wher able to come along for the ride. I said ofcourse mate more the merrier i assumed you wher here for the ride anyway. Started running into you all over the place after that day on different rides and renowned motorcycle stops even at the hagslea motorcycle museum one time. Got alot of respect for you Pete your one of the true genuine blokes out there and i know you love that Rocket of yours .
Just wanted you to know its an honour to know you

This beggs the age old question "Why does this happen to the good guys?" Its just not right.... If there is something after our stint in this life i wish that Pete is welcomed with open arms.
Pete would call me (and others) while waiting for his next load (for his truck) and talk and talk. I sometimes just couldnt afford the time to chat but enjoyed it anyway.
