Engine noise.
Been down that road unfortunately. I have a 05 with only 6000 miles on it. I dont use it much because I can only stand about an hour of vibration through the handle bars before I can,t feel my fingers in the right hand. Not to mention the oil the gets thrown out the breather on the diff housing( no its not over filled, yes it does have the correct oil). My engine started to sound like a skeleton having a wank in a biscuit tin after about 5800 miles. I have no cat and the short Triumph pipes on it so at best its a noisey bike. I ride it fairly hard whilst I,m road testing a new double thick leather glove on my right hand and a regular glove on the left. the noise started to get worse, and after I had convinced myself that the noise was real AFTER ONLY 5800 MILES on their flagship model, I took the steaming pile to the dealer. They informed me of all these problems that the motors and trannys were having. Because my bike was out of warranty by nearly three years, I had to pay for the Labor, but the parts were on the house. I received the bike back In January, rode It once everything was great. I havent touched it since. It still has only 6078 miles. I have yet to discover a glove that can cure the vibration through the bars. Dont get me wrong its a great bike and I enjoy using it to tie the dog down.
