Looked at the Nomad 1700

Here I am again. Glad to see people speaking their minds. Not to stir up anymore ****, I'll simply say, the reason I moved to the south is that people take care of their own kind first and show more loyality to God and country, although there are great redneck everywhere. Glad to see one of you didn't vote for Obama in my verbal hanging. You can be who you are, and I'll be who I am, by the way, I do have friends with Japanese bikes, just can't consider them as an equal. Love ridin my RIIIT and old kick start HD, feel great everytime I do. If we meet someday, you'll probably find me to be a nice fun guy, if you don't see that side, you're an ******* and best leave me alone. This is a motorsickle forum, so I suggest we ride our bikes a quit wasting time talkin ****. Rubber down, and when you forget that, remember, if you're going to be dumb, you've got to be tough! Love Stick

Look at all the hoop la the poor little Kawasaki has caused:D Stick the Rockets Across America meet will be real soon so please try and attend and have fun with the rest of us, even though you all talk some form of pig English I do not hold it against any one of you:eek:;)

And everyone seems to forget, Kawasaki is a huge company and the money from MC sales is minor. They will lose money on bikes and not even feel it. One of the reasons the ****** rockets are so cheap. Triumph, Ducati, MV and other Europeans as well as HD only make bikes. They have to actually make a profit on the bikes. Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki all make tons of money on other things. Kawasaki is one of the worlds largest ship builders, Yamaha makes musical instruments, and everyone knows about Honda. You can see where this is going. Jap bikes do appear to be better built for the same money and they may well be. I just keep waiting on them to get their revenge for WWII so not sure how much I want one of their vehicles between my legs.

LMAO your a funny dude BigWillie...or at least I hope your kidding about the WWII thing.

LOL Stick do you even know what year this is:confused:...If not for god sake pull your head out of there man.

{if you're going to be dumb, you've got to be tough! }

LMAO did you realy say that, Dam man you just set the hole south back about 200 years with that one.:roll:

You guys think he's serious? I think he's yanking yer chains.

As far as japanese bikes, I favor the Star lineup. I know nothing about their performance, but the fit and finish on a Roadliner Midnight I looked at was second to none. It's a *very* sharp looking bike.

The Jap reprisal thing is something I have been saying for years. Back in the day when bikers rode harleys or british bikes it was a standing joke as to why I never wanted a jap bike. Argued that they might want revenge and were putting bombs in all there products and one day would hit a button and boom!. Didn't want my nads sitting on a bomb. So yea that part was a joke. The other is something I picked up a year or so in one of the MC magazines I read. Someone had written in about the cost of a good european bike as compared to a jap one and the editor explained the "lost leader" concept and how it allowed the big 4 to hold their prices down. I have owned two Yamaha's. I had a FZ6 I bought when I was doing my instructor training for the MSF and traded it for an FJR1300 that I traded for the R3T. A few years back I started looking hard at the Japanese cruisers and they really are nice bikes. Decent looks, reliable drive trains with good power. Almost bought a Star Stratoliner instead of the FJR but went for the speed. Then I test rode a Rocket and couldn't wait to get to a point I could trade the Yamaha for the Triumph. Of course if I could have gotten my Trophy fixed when I had to buy the FZ6, I probably would have been much better off.

I sold my Nomad to by my Rocket III. I loved that bike, too. Dependable, comfortable...a great bike, really.

I looked at the 2009, 2010 Nomads (or Voyagers) and they just couldn't compare with the R3T.

Yes, Triumph skimped on a few items (ABS, cruise, etc.), but I mean, c'mon, look what we got!

Couldn't be happier with my Rocket.
Like Pig9r sez, there's no replacement for displacement! After three years and 30k miles I still can't wipe the grin off my face:D And since I gratefully obtained a set of Mad Dogs Im having a hard time trying to keep from burning the rear skin off:bch:.With my Phatass aboard it can be a rearing feat or a smoke cloud departure.
