No I did'nt get a chance to ride it, only sat and drooled a little bit at the dealers.
My first impressions as I see it:

Pro's
The fit & finish was superb
Cruise Control
Standard passenger grab rails
Standard sissy bar & pad
Standard Hwy Bars
Super comfy seat
Belt Drive
Top case available soon (so says the sales dude)

Con's
seating position too close to tank
wind screen was too tall for me and this is @ 6'
wind screen was also slanted back way too far

All in All the pro's out weighed the Con's and by the time you put on some slip on's, Bak and pcv that 1700cc motor will perk up quite nicely.

I still think the R3T is a better machine but Triumph needs to understand that if they want to continue to compete in the American Cruiser market Bare Bones isn't the way to do it "no matter how big the engine is".

Hope my litte review didn't tic anybody off:)

O.K. now I get it, I'm not stupid, just slow..................except on my Rocket!

Thanks!

Still a v-twin.
Not impressed by it at all,
just another clone.
The Thunderbird now, thats different.
I REALLY liked the six speed on that thing.
Just not enough to buy one new.
I'll wait and let somebody else take the hit,
and score one in a year or two used.

Did not tick me off, but form my view the Kawi is a horrible example of "me,too" motorcycle design. Never felt I needed cruise, shields, radio, and such. Never failed to stay with those over 1000's of miles who had 'em. No minivan on two wheels, thank you.

I understand some want it and good for them.

I think it is a good effort by Kawi, Not good enough to trade in the R3T however. The Nomad is just the cruiser/bagger model KOF you may be thinking of the Voyager wich is the full blowne touring model.

The six speed geer box must be nice but like I said I didnt get a chance to ride it I just stoped in to take a look.

The Nomad

I have never been a V-Twin fanatic, I guess that's why when I was looking for something to complement and possibly replace my '03 Voyager (with nearly 100k on it), I wound up with a Rocket instead of a '10 Voyager. Kawasaki makes good bikes, they just don't have the 'personality' of a Triumph, and while my rocket is not as good on long trips (yet!), it's a lot of fun around town!!

I sold my Nomad to by my Rocket III. I loved that bike, too. Dependable, comfortable...a great bike, really.

I looked at the 2009, 2010 Nomads (or Voyagers) and they just couldn't compare with the R3T.

Yes, Triumph skimped on a few items (ABS, cruise, etc.), but I mean, c'mon, look what we got!

Couldn't be happier with my Rocket.
