Long distance seat recommendation

My last Corbin was awesome, but it was on a sport touring bike and kept sliding me into the tank. The seat kept me saddle sore free for the 15-hour riding days, but the sliding got old fast. Thought about it for my Rocket but that Mustang really spoke to me. Anyway as tough as it is, the best thing is to borrow the different seats and try them before you know what will work for you and your anatomy. Essentially it is the same as just going to a seat maker and having a custom saddle made.

I'm curious what bike it was, that was the biggest thing the Corbin eliminated on a Sprint and K1200, the factory seat slid you into the tank? The Corbins don't on mine.

Hello @Tbone, for several years I stuck to the stock seat with no concerns. However I did use a large BeadRider on the seat. It gave me great ventilation for hot rides and with a small amount of movement in the saddle, you get a nice circulatory massage.

BeadRider looks to have doubled their prices since I bought mine but there are others out there that look to provide the same comfort. Going this way saves a lot of money.

Stock seat with stock back rest. The beads allow move and release creeping stress and keep my butt aired and dry if it rains.
Well worth the 45$. Don't but the knock offs. They fall apart in 3 months. Buy American.

@Tripps it was a 2013 Yamaha FJR. I had the Corbin dual heated seat. Put 12k miles on it the year I owned it then sold the bike and decided to go back to cruisers.

Leaving NC in August and heading to Yellowstone then to Sturgis so just curious what seat any of you guys would recommend for long distance riding.

Re Corbin. Like everything (well most) in life they either suit you or do not. I had a Corbin on my Buell. Was OK I guess but certainly not worth paying the European price - which I did not. Even so I would not bother getting another. You simply cannot beat a made to measure seat.

I had Corbin on my Buell also but no seat would make that thing comfortable.

Might just go with the beads and backrest to save some dough. What screen is that and does it work?

My original Triumph barndoor is in a box in the garage. The brand is WindVest. Works great. Can fin it on eBay for 125$! Easy on and off. I love it. Add some lower deflectors and you will love it even more. Will make a $100 helmet quieter than a Shubert.
