Something on the R3T prevented you from using Kuryakyn mirrors? Would that interfere with the Kuryakyn Magnum Plus or was it something specific to the Ellipse?
The right side (throttle) mirror will be a tight fit and you may have to fool with it some to get it properly adjusted.

The latter. The lights on both the forward and rear sides are very bright; in fact, the rear side signals take some getting used to at night due to brightness. You won't forget to turn them off!
These are designed to wire in parallel with the stock turn signals. Without the stock signals they get way too much power and require resistors to slow them down, LED's have quite low power use compared to incandescents.
