LED light addition-small but powerful

They are cool lights- very bright!
Must admit, my standard lights are sh!t !
My old speedmaster used to light up the whole road on low beam.
Definitely have to upgrade.
 
No point in buying expensive Daymakers anymore, though, JW Speaker has the new 8630 Evolutions out now. They have looks only a mother could love compared to the old ones that just looked quirky, but it's hard to argue with 2900 raw lumens. Two of those puppies on a normal two-headlight Rocket should light up the road like nobody's business. I'm pretty impressed with my new single 7-inch 8700 Evo 2 that has similar stats, two of them side by side should be a staggering upgrade from the stock garbage that's on there.

No worries, as you guys reportedly say down there. It was surprisingly easy to rip out the original reflectors on my bike and put the new JW Speaker ones in (I replaced my driving lights too). Just remove some clips, put the trim ring on the new reflectors and then mount on the bike. Should take 5 minutes and require nothing more than a screwdriver, tool-wise.

Have to say, the apparent quality of the reflector on mine was shockingly cheap by comparison to the hefty cast heatsink etc that the JW Speaker product has. I'm sure the same is true for the dual 5.75's on the "normal" Rocket.

I bought mine from the European distributor, so that won't help you most likely.

These guys seem to have a decent price and they do great informative videos about this stuff too; they're in the US however.

Yeah, I had in mind the Daymakers were even more than that, but I may be misremembering (or remembering an old price). Though a little over $400 is more correct for the Evo, about the same as the Daymakers, and still quite a chunk of change since it takes two. Still, the Daymakers now appear to be the inferior choice where before they appeared to be better.
 
Oh yeah, right, I forgot, do Australians drive on the wrong side too? I mean, if they're not on the right side, they're on the wrong side. But yeah, the lights differ in that respect.

I was trying to talk a friend of mine into buying the right-hand-drive version of the old 8630 in black from Mobilecentre, it would have looked stunningly good on his Speed Triple but he wasn't having it and then it was too late, they were out of stock. £120 for those is an incredible deal. Two black ones on a Rocket should look killer, and while they're not as good as the new uglier version, they're still hugely better than stock and arguably far better locking than the new Evo.
 
Out of interest (and future reference), is there any form of guide as to how the Speakers should be wired up? Or are they pretty much plug and play?
