You can get functioning Adaptives for under US$160 a apir and std 5.75" LEDs will cost about US$50 -75 a pair.

These links may be old but just google or search the details on eBay and you will find the same or similar. Be aware their are ones that appear the same as adaptives but just have indicator flasher functons and not the corner turning extra light. If the have it they will clearly show like my website photos below.

Prices in my old posts were Aussie dollars about US0.66 now.

Back in 2019 I got some Chinese adaptive LED knockoffs of the USA made HD Daymaker versions by JW Speaker.
Still in the boxes:eek::oops:.
I still have the first excellent Chinese LEDs fitted.

extract from old post 2019:
Yea, I bit the bullet and just got some Chinese knockoff Adaptives from Ali Express with free shipping by buying each separately in two transactions, If you order two together you will get a small freight charge.

Choice of black or Chrome face. I went black.

Fred,
JW Speaker Adaptive2 = the BEST choice!
BTW, I have already packed one of my light meters for the trip so I don't forget a third time.😜
I want to learn and am anxious to know how the china knock-offs compare.
Hi ya Bull ! I almost never ride at night. To many deer where I live. And if I do find myself out after dark, I drive like a little old lady, so I'm not a candidate for big $$$ super duper adaptives. I've been running Piaa super bright incandescents for years. I've road with some people with LEDS and find them very comparable. I'm curious if anyone has any long term history with led knock offs. Like how long do they last, and when they burn out do you have to replace the entire assembly.

I have been running Sunpie (Chinese knockoff) in my Touring for 10 years now without an issue. Brighter than the OEM poverty candles and a nice crisp upper cut off. If/whem it dies I will probably go with Chinese again.

Despite being really cool looking and delivering great illumination, they don't seem get a lot of love, amongst Rocket III guys, due to price I reckon... but there is always the OEM Triumph option i.e. retrofit Rocket 3 lights to a Rocket III.

Fun fact, these are made by JW Speaker for Triumph.
