I was in the middle of changing my oil when I noticed a small water leak. My upper bolt (the one with the copper washer) is leaking, I tried to tighten it but it's still leaking. I'm heading to the dealer. :( Anyone ever had this problem?

I thightened mine 2 years ago ane been fine since.

It did started getting wet around there on my last trip and then stopped, go figure.

..mine developed a small leak when I first got it (about 2,000 miles)..I took the water pump off, put a very small amount of blue goo RTV sealer on the rubber O ring/gasket all the way around..it's been ok since..

Dealer tightened it up pretty good, the top bolt where the copper washer is and all is OK, I had to get new crush washers and a new o-ring for the oiul change anyway

Hi Bruce. My top bolt leaked on my last trip at about 28000 miles.
Changed the copper washer and it solved the problem.

Been to the West coast and Canada. Just got back Friday. Bike is

now pushing 32,000 miles. I been using the cleanning products you

been talking about. They work fine. Where do I find the Wood???

product for the wheels?

We should get together again.

Joe

At any boat center....Woody's Wax, it will preserve all your aluminum. Use a Mother's ball and Mother's polish to get it clean and shiny and then use Woody's to seal in the beauty. I will PM you with my cell.
