Riders backrest turns a Rocket III touring seat into a cockpit .. awesome accessory at 'loose your licence speeds'

BTW if you ain't prepared to make a 3 hour trip to test ride a RIII for yourself , we're just wasting our time singing it's praise to you. Stick with whatever you got maybe :cool:

Dealers in these parts aren't keen on demo rides. I was going to hop on one at Bike Week next month as Triumph will have a demo booth there, but then The Man canceled my vacation time :( Waiting to see if one pops up for sale in my area before I waste my time at a stealership.

5 knee surgeries and 6 total procedures here, olbull and I'm still tickin' like a Timex watch, albeit with a l'il bit o'corrosion!:laugh:

4 knee ops - 2 back - shoulder- arm -recent foot & ankle.
A number of high speed get offs, racing and road getting to my old age . . .

We HAVE CHARACTER!!!

Hello all;

I'm a sporty bike rider looking to transition to cruisers, but not yet ready to retire to a Harley... Been looking at the Roadster vs. M109R. Leaning toward the Roadster... anyway, I'm selling my VFR (anyone interested?), working on piecing a turbo kit together for the 1100 :cool:, and if that doesn't pan out :banghead:, I'll likely end up selling it and pulling the trigger on a cruiser. So I'm here, just not posting much. Especially lurking in the classifieds and modifications forums.

Have a good one. :)

I had a M109R for 3 years before buying a Rocket 111 touring. The M109r felt very powerfull and much more of a holligan machine than my Rocket.
The Rocket is much more of an allround winner due to the power handling and comfort so it really depends on what you are looking for. Test drive both of them and see which one suits. They are both awesome , over the top machines

I tried the Classic Tour seat, because I wanted a rider backrest, and gave it away. It's not comfortable on a Roadster. The seating being pushed forward and down puts the pegs way too cramped for me.

Never rode a Touring model, but did trade my M109R for a Roadster. The tuned 109's power didn't compare to the stock power of a R3R. The Rocket has more power from idle to redline and every where in between. Plus the better lean angle makes it handle much better than my 109 could.
